As digital transformation accelerates across Saudi Arabia, organisations are increasingly responsible for protecting personal data and ensuring compliance with evolving privacy regulations. The introduction of the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) has established a clear legal framework governing how personal data is collected, processed, stored, and transferred within and beyond the Kingdom. However, many organisations and professionals continue to face challenges in understanding regulatory expectations, defining internal responsibilities, and implementing structured data protection frameworks that align with both national requirements and international standards.
This course is designed to provide a structured understanding of data protection and privacy compliance within the Saudi regulatory environment. It explores the core principles of PDPL, organisational roles and responsibilities, documentation and recordkeeping obligations, and risk-based approaches such as Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). Participants will also examine incident management related to data breaches, cross-border data transfer considerations, and sector-specific compliance expectations within the private sector.
Through this course, learners will develop the knowledge required to support data governance, strengthen organisational compliance frameworks, and contribute to responsible data handling practices. As a result, the course enhances institutional readiness, supports regulatory alignment, and reinforces professional confidence in managing data protection obligations across Saudi organisations.
